Fujian Communicaitons Department is led by provincial committee and provincial government. In the end of 2002, the highways around Fujian province have amount to 54,155 km, of which 582km are expressways, 279km are first¨Cgrade highways, 5,573km are second-grade highways, 3,600km are forth-grade highways, 12,935km are nongraded highways. The density of highways is 44.6km/100s.k, at the tenth of the whole country. The present highways are consisted of 5 national highways£¨G104¡¢G205¡¢G316¡¢G324¡¢G319£©¡¢17 provincial main highways£¨5,522km£© and country highways£¨12,578km£©.
The coastline of our province is 3,324 km, accounts for 18.3% of the total length of coastline of national coastline. The main ports are distributed in harbour of Xiamen¡¢Fuzhou and Meizhou. In the end of 2002, the productivity berths£¨more than 1000 tons£©amount to 141,of which 46 berths have achieved to 10000 tons, the throughput of harbours is 80,370,000 tons.
In the end of 2002, there are 222,600 motor vehicles for money, 117,100 trucks, 41,700 roadway transportation producers, 389 waterway transportation producers in the whole province. There are 2,950 flexible ships for money, the net loading capacity of ships is 1,966,100 tons. |
